AIRASE MEMBERSHIP FEES, POLICIES, AND PROCEDURES
Contributions are allocated when received and are not refundable.
Private Information Statement
The association will keep a membership book/computer file containing all (a) contact information such as name, physical address, phone number, and email address, (b) type of membership, (c) membership expiration date, and (d) information with regards to oils.
Members will not have access to other members’ personal information, unless members have clicked on application to agree to put their name and email on a membership directory for research collaboration. Personal information obtained by AIRASE will not be used for solicitations or given or sold to any other entity. Any information obtained for payment of membership dues shall not be kept on record except for those registering for monthly recurring payment of fees.
Non-transferability of Membership
No member may transfer a membership for any reason. All rights of membership cease upon the death of the member.
Members will be considered eligible when member (a) complies with AIRASE by laws and policies and (b) makes timely payments of all dues to this association.
AIRASE will terminate or withdraw any membership entity or individual who does not have continued eligibility. Complaints to the effect that a member has violated the ethical principles or bylaws shall be processed in accordance with AIRASE policies and the laws governing non-profit associations.
Termination of Membership
The membership of a member will terminate upon the occurrences of any of the following events:
(a) Upon failure to renew the membership, by paying dues on or before their due dates, whether for an individual or entity. Such termination to be effective fifteen (15) days after a written notification of nonpayment is given personally, mailed, or sent electronically to such member by the administrative offices of the association. A member may avoid such termination by paying the amount of delinquent due within thirty (30) days following the member’s renewal date.
(b) As determined by AIRASE that the member has engaged in conduct, writing, or activities that seriously defame, slander, prejudice, violate the interests or purposes of this association, violate the Internal Revenue nonprofit code 501(c)(3); or violate the statutes pertaining to nonprofit entities.
Board Procedure for Termination
(a) AIRASE will provide the member with written notice regarding such activities that prompt termination and then will provide the member with an opportunity to be heard either written or orally.
(b) AIRASE will have all rights to terminate after consideration of said case.
(c) A notice of termination of an individual or entity membership shall be delivered to the secretary or president personally, by mail, or electronically. Membership will terminate on the date of the writing of such termination.
(d) All rights or benefits of a member as provided in this association shall cease upon termination of membership.
An individual or entity may send a letter requesting reinstatement of membership by submitting to the Board of Directors. The board at its sole discretion may reinstate or decline reinstatement membership to individuals or entities.
